“Transforming Conflict in Our
~A Professional Development
Retreat for Clergy~
How can I help others realize the
opportunities inherent in their conflict?
"Wouldn’t it be good to have
greater confidence in your
role as “peacemaker?”
How does our understanding and experience
of conflict intersect with our theological
understanding of ourselves and the Church?
The Finger Lakes District of the United Methodist Church would like to extend an invitation to all the United Methodist clergy of our Conference to gather for this highly engaging and interactive professional development opportunity! Lead by Jeff Shepardson*, United Methodist Elder and Fellow with the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation, the retreat will focus on both theoretical and theological foundations of conflict transformation, as well as concrete intervention skills & strategies that can be used to support individuals and communities in conflict. Registration will be through the District Office; information to follow. *For more information on the presenter, visit www.cdrc.org / services / training / meet the trainer.
