About Facilitation

What facilitation is, who uses it and why.

Facilitation allows groups of different sizes make effective use of their time together. Whether groups are meeting once or meet regularly, a group's work is made more productive when guidelines are set, goals are clarified, and agendas are structured. A CDRC facilitator helps groups do all of these things. CDRC facilitators can also help groups prepare for their meeting(s) as well as help with the follow up work after the meeting(s). And, don't forget, when a CDRC facilitator is leading the meeting, all members of an organization or business, including leadership, can participate fully in discussions!

CDRC facilitators also work with large organizations, local government and communities to find ways that involve citizens and employees in ways that make a difference. Examples include transportation planning, environmental facilitation and land-use planning.

Facilitated meetings can result in many benefits to you, our client: you can strengthen teamwork, allow your organization to consider its future, help your businesses merge, involve your community through input and planning. All of our work can help improve participation when difficult decisions need to be made.
