How to Make a Referral
Is Conflict making things difficult and unpleasant for you or your client? Is it getting in the way of your ability to help or deliver services to someone? Or is conflict just plain wasting a whole lot of everyone's time?
Don't wait until the last minute! The longer conflict is left un-addressed, the tougher it is to deal with! Think now about making a referral for mediation to CDRC. The process is very easy, confidential and provided at no cost:
Your Step
Ask your friend, family member or client if you can call CDRC for them. Here's an example of how to bring up the idea:
"I wish I had the time to help you with the conflict you're having with Xxxxxx. But there are people here in Ithaca who are trained to help people in conflict talk to each other and work things out. There is no charge for their services, and it is confidential and easy to use. Would you like me to contact them so they can call you to explain how they can help?"
Our Step
CDRC will contact everyone involved in the conflict and talk with them about the ways in which mediation may be helpful.
Some benefits of mediation can include:
Getting clearer about the situation
Understanding the perspective of each person involved
Reaching agreement on a plan of action, next steps or a way to resolve the problem
Please call one of the phone numbers at the top of this page or use our online contact page to refer someone or to ask if CDRC can help in your specific situation.
