About Training & Education

How our training and education programs help and more

Each of us needs skills that allow us to handle conflict on our own. CDRC provides training that provides constructive ways of responding to conflicts in families, schools, organizations and the workplace. Those who participate in CDRC trainings and workshops learn to manage their own conflicts and to help others who are caught in conflict.

Resolving conflict is an important part of the education young people need to succeed. Teen Talk and Kid Talk provide a series of workshops that allow young people to consider the nature of conflict and the skills for responding to conflict in appropriate ways. CDRC also teaches young people to mediate conflicts between peers. Workshops happen in the classroom or in the community. Selected curricula are also available for purchase.

Through CDRC, adults learn skills for dealing deal with conflict wherever they face it in their lives - at home, at work or in the neighborhood. They also learn to structure effective meetings, manage group interactions and support others involved in conflict. Most training is provided through a worksite or organization, with pre-training consultation ensuring that content and exercises are tailored to meet a group's needs
