Supporting CDRC

CDRC is supported by public and private funders and many individual donors.

Donors

Generous community members in Chemung, Schuyler and Tompkins counties support CDRC with financial contributions. Please consider joining them with a donation in support of the agency’s work with individuals, families and young people. The income that our donors provide allows CDRC to respond quickly and effectively to specific needs in each of our communities.

Each of our donors is committed to keeping CDRC strong during its third decade of fostering constructive responses to conflict. Donors understand that conflict is a natural part of life and that people need skills for responding to conflict in positive ways. Our donors realize mediation provides an important “safety valve” when personal skills are insufficient to get through a difficult conversation.

Help us continue to let more and more people know that when faced with conflict, talk works!

CDRC is a 501 (c ) (3) non-profit organization under IRS guidelines. All donations are fully tax deductible as allowable by law.

Six Ways to Support CDRC

1. Make a Donation
CDRC accepts contributions of cash, check, Visa, Mastercard or Discover or stocks and securities. Make a secure Online donation or print and complete our Donation Form.

2. Honor Another
Make a donation in honor of a friend or family member, either in their memory or as a way to acknowledge the special role they play in your life. Celebrate a birthday, holiday or special day with a contribution in their honor. Or consider asking family and friends to do this. For instance, a donor who has supported CDRC for more than a decade recently asked his out-of-town relatives to make a donation to CDRC in his honor instead of sending him a holiday gift each December.

3. Ask Your Company to Match Your Gift
Many businesses and corporations provide a matching gift option, increasing your generosity with a gift of their own. Check with your employer to find out how you can make an even bigger difference.

4. Provide a Service or Sponsor an Event
CDRC gratefully accepts contributions of goods and services: e.g. publicity, printing, office supplies. We also welcome sponsorship of particular programs or events. For more information, contact us.

5. Wish List
There are always things that CDRC’s staff and volunteers need that we cannot afford to buy. You may have access to just what we need! Current needs include:

  • A scanner
  • Portable tape recorders
  • Digital cameras
  • Plants
  • Plant Stands
  • Copier
  • Armchairs
  • Table and chairs for mediation room
6. Volunteer Your Time
CDRC welcomes individuals who would like to volunteer time to help with particular projects or on-going activities. For more information about this, see our Volunteer page.

Other sources of income

CDRC receives grants from local and regional foundations to support specific projects. Recent grants include:

  • Teen Talk: The Gannett Foundation to create new materials for these workshops
  • Technology Infrastructure: mini-grant from the NY Court System’s Office of Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs to increase visibility by establishing a web site.

CDRC - InterfaceInterface is a social enterprise division of CDRC. The revenue generated through its fee-based facilitation, training and process design supports CDRC’s mission and helps fund the programs that are offered at no cost to those participating.
